Product Shot 1 The Pros:Shortwave is excellent right off the whip antenna. The five-inch speaker is accurate, pleasant and reproduces deeper bass than any portable of similar size. Clear, straightforward instruction manual.

The Cons:LCD is lit unevenly. Right side of LCD is dim, difficult to read.

The CCRadio-SW is a portable AM/FM/Shortwave radio. The radio features a Twin Coil Ferrite AM Antenna for long range AM radio reception. The CCRadio-SW supersedes the CCRadio plus, drops some features, but adds some others including, most notably, Shortwave reception.

The radio can be run off 4 D-size batteries, an AC adapter, or 4 AAA batteries as a backup. It features line-level stereo outputs, for connecting to your home theater, amplifier, or receiver.

Erik: #ccradio_sw I'm confused. Is there really a market for these AM/FM/Shortwave radios? I pretty much only listen to Internet radio in the house. I do listen to the regular radio in the car, but I hate it. Any thoughts? Jan 25, 08
