$709.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1The Emotiva XPA-2 is a mid-cost two channel amplifier. You can input six devices per channel on this amplifier. The XPA-2 has a high current design, and to accomodate this it is fully discrete, meaning its components are seperated.

The XPA-2 is also dual differential, with a signal to noise ratio of 1 watt/<91db, full power/<110 db. This ratio means that distortion will not get in the way of a clear sound at high volumes. The Triple Darlington (with On output stages) also helps to cut back on the noise. The digital status indicators of this amplifier show you visually where the audio levels are at. The XPA-2 can accomodate both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs. This amplifier differs from the identically priced XPA-5 model in that it lacks the XPA-5's five channels. However, in exchange the XPA-2 has higher power levels (300 watts RMS x2 into 8 ohms/500 watts RMS x2 into 4 ohms as opposed to 200 watts RMS x5 into 8 ohms/300 watts RMS x5 into 4 ohms), which is also how it is a step up from the lower cost XPA-3 amplifier. The XPA-2 lacks the flagship XPA-1's True Differential Reference design featuring high resolution LED metering to view sound levels. Like every model in this series of amplifiers, the Emotiva XPA-2 is fully protected from all fault conditions.
