It is one of two current home theater "separates" from Integra and is designed to be coupled with the Integra DTC-9.8 pre-amplifier/processor. However, you can use this with any pre/pro separate or even an A/V receiver with pre-outs. The DTA-9.4 features 7 independent, full-bandwidth amplifier circuits, each with unbalanced RCA inputs, balanced XLR inputs, and speaker plugs. Each input and output connection is gold-plated, with the speaker output accepting thick spade plugs, heavy gauge speaker wire, and banana plugs. The manufacturer claims 120 Watts per channel into 8 ohm of RMS power when driving 2 channels.
Features
- 7 channel Class D switching amplifier
- power: 120 Watts / channel RMS @ 8 Ohm (driving 2 channels), 240 Watts / channel @ 4 Ohm
- power supply: high output current switching features 156,000 microfarads of capacitance
- independent circuit topology
- Integrates Integra's Vector Linear PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to reduce noise that typically plagues switched MOSFET devices
- price: $3000 (MSRP)
- release date: May 2003
