ION IPTUSB

The ION IPTUSB is a low cost direct drive turntable. Thanks to the USB jack of the IPTUSB, you can connect this turntable to your Mac or PC and convert music from your LPs into MP3s. This is a feature shared with the slightly more expensive IPTUSB Limited Edition (which has the exact same specs as the IPTUSB, but with a different exterior design).

The line input jack of this turntable allows you to plug in other music sources (like a tape deck) and convert their material into MP3s, as well. Whatever source you are using, the included EZ Vinyl Converter software will help to walk you through the steps of tranferring. Though an AC adapter is included for wall power, you can also power the IPTUSB with batteries (six D cells), which means that you can take it and play it anywhere. The built-in speaker also helps to make this turntable portable, and allows you to monitor your transferring. The IPTUSB can also be used for simply listening to your LPs, and has a line output for this purpose. The ION IPTUSB can play all standard sized 33 1/3 RPM vinyl up to 12", and comes with an adapter that allows you to play 45 RPM vinyl on it, as well.
