Livescribe Pulse Smartpen

The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is a computerized pen that can simultaneously capture handwriting and audio, and then synchronize them for later review. Available in 2GB and 4GB (400-hrs audio recording) capacities, the Smartpen features a standard quill for using it as a regular pen, a mono microphone for recording voice like a digital recorder, an infrared camera for capturing text, and a variety of applications that can be used alongside the include software.

These include a calculator, time/date access, etc. The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is highly recommended for students and professionals, though the more recently released Echo Smartpen does trump it in more ways than one.
