The power supply uses “choke” input, a feature that removes unwanted noise from the AC line that could lead to interference. The transformer is of the double-shielded toroidal variety, which is engineered to provide accurate voltages to each section of circuits. Marantz also features a feedback phono stage used in the preamplifier. This is best suited for LP playback, allowing for accurate, smooth tonal reproduction. Switchable “pre out” and “power in” jacks are also integrated, allowing for multi-channel stereo support. An LCD display graces the front of the unit, while an aluminum-topped remote control allows listeners to control volume and other settings from a distance.
