The toroidal transformer, Nippon DACs, new low-jitter clock, and HDAM SA2 analog output stage have all been upgraded as well. The reference chassis combines full copper construction with additional shielding and a double plated bottom for added isolation. The player's transformer has an additional copper shield to minimize signal interference, and the SACD-optimized Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM SA2) achieve a more accurate analog signal through either RCA or XLR outputs. The SA-11S2 also includes Marantz's proprietary switchable noise shaping digital filters which fine-tune the musical presentation to the user's specific tastes. This player is compatible with SACD (Stereo), CD, and CD-R/RW formats, and is available in a champagne gold finish.
