  It is designed with a monochrome backlit LCD display for controlling the functons and is compact and lightweight, at only 2.8 oz.  The device includes 2GB of internal flash memory that provides up to 530 hours of recording time.  The DS-61 includes noise cancellation technology and a voice-activated Variable Control Voice Actuator feature which automatically records once it hears sound to save memory and battery life.  It also offers file editing and management and can function as a flash drive.  The recorder comes with DSS player software and has a suggested retail price of $300.
