Olympus VN-6200PC
$60.00
Released August, 2009
The Pros:Large amount of built-in memory, rarely run out. Playback sound quality through built-in speaker is good, dictation and lectures are clear. Connection to a PC is plug-and-play, no software required.
The Cons:Overly light weight, has a cheap plastic feel. No options available for file naming conventions, just numbered in sequence. So sound file management software included, can't convert from WMA without external software.

It offers this via a USB 2.0 port and an included PC-Link cable. Users can also electronically index mark the beginning of a new file, slow-down or speed-up playback by 25-50%, and quickly view file locations, recording status, and battery life information on an included LCD screen.
