Key to the WS-400S is its bundled Dragon Naturally-Speaking (DNS) voice-recognition software, which allows users to transcribe recorded voice files directly to their PC.

Other than that, the WS-400S is relatively simple in that it only supports WMA audio formats, it doesn’t feature a rechargeable battery, and it’s only compatible with PC computers. Additional features include 5 total folders with a 200-file capacity each, a built-in stereo microphone, and voice activation.
