$80.00
Released August, 2009
The Pros:Use is very simple, don't have to think too hard about it. Can recharge through the USB port while exchanging files. File transfers are simple, no extra software to deal with, dongle is built in.
The Cons:No MP3 recording mode, files get a little big.
The Olympus WS-400S is a sleek, stylish, and advanced WMA-compatible digital voice recorder that supports both standard and high-quality stereo recordings. With stereo recording, the unit can handle approximately 69 hours (LP).

And after completing their recordings, users can connect the device directly to a PC (USB), allowing them to easily upload, organize, listen to, AND e-mail their voice recordings with ease. Included also is a large LCD screen for viewing recording data. Plus, the WS-400S comes with five embedded folders, each capable of handling up to 200 files. Truthfully, the WS-400S is poor in recording time AND battery life — only 21 hrs — versus its peers (VN-5200PC; VN-6200PC), but makes up for that with high-quality records with zero noise and interference.
