This is basically a modern version of the 'Dictaphone' so function takes president over form. Most people use these for journalism, to record lectures, and/or field location recording. Many functions are common to this line, the only differences being recording capacity(except for the RR-QR230 which has only 64MB memory and no USB). 3X Zoom-Mic which has three sensitivity modes, voice recognized operation, playback EQ and a dedicated music folder are some of the more modern features of this line. You can protect your files by setting a password for each folder and hooking up an external microphone or headset is possible via the built-in jacks.
