Released September, 2008
The Pros:Stylish aluminum body. Digital out means you can use it with expensive high fidelity equipment.
The Cons:Body is designed for np2900 with speaker (overly long body, awkward shape, makes screen look small).
Introduced in late August 2008, the Philips NP2500 is a wireless media device used to stream Internet radio or music files from a home network directly into a home stereo with digital input or TV receiver.

Featuring a full colour screen and a digital S/PDIF coaxial connection, the NP2500 can be used with the most expensive high fidelity equipment and not degrade the quality of the original media. Unlike the NP2900 however, the NP2500 does not sport its own pair of stereo speakers. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
Features
- Full colour screen
- Requires a compatible home stereo or A/V receiver
