On the low end is the LP mode with 372 hours of recording time. For those seeking quality, however, the ICD-SX700 supports MP3 recordings up to 8 hours. As well as being podcast ready, this unit also supports MP3/WMA/ID3 tags, dictation correcting during playback, and digital pitch control tools. Included with the Sony ICD-SX700 is Sound Forge® Audio Studio 9.0 L.E. software, a Windows-compatible program for editing voice and music recordings.
