Stanton T.92 USB
$299.00
Released March, 2009
The Pros:Includes a high-quality cartridge and stylus. Turntable platter has a lot of mass, keeps it consistent. Counterweight and anti-skating controls work perfectly, well designed.
The Cons:No leveling controls, has to be handled externally. Included software isn't very useful or feature-rich. Included USB cable is pretty short, need to have a laptop right next to the unit.
The Stanton T.92 USB is a direct-drive turntable. While using the same general design and software as the Stanton T.55 USB, a number of new features have been added and a high-torque direct-drive motor is now being used.

In addition to the USB output, the RCA outputs can be switched between phono and line modes, and S/PDIF outputs are available as well. The pitch control fader also offers a DSP Key Lock option, which allows the tempo to be changed without the pitch being affected. An S-Shaped Tone Arm is now used to reduce distortion for a clearer, higher quality sound. This is aided by a pre-mounted Stanton 500.v3 Cartridge, used specifically for improved sound quality. The drive motor has 3 default playback speeds of 33, 45, and 78 RPM in addition to a Quartz Lock.
