Vestax PDX-3000

$899.00 Released May, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Striking near-black finish with a shiny checkerboard pattern, looks cool. Can adjust the torque to get the exact feel desired. Has a nice smooth feel, good for mixing.

The Cons:Plastic housing tends to carry vibrations from outside. MIDI is input only, can't drive external devices with the platter.

The Vestax PDX-3000 is a high end turntable built for DJs that want fine control over the platter. A torque simulator system allows the amount of resistance of the platter to exterior forces to be adjusted, so that DJs can slow records slightly with a light touch, start them up with a strong push, and scratch just the way they want.

Product Shot 2 The direct drive motor combines high torque with precise control, and reaches the proper speed 0.5 seconds after the button is pushed. The tone arm has an adjustable base to ensure the arm is aligned with the record or angled downward for more pressure to avoid skipping. The rubber feet use an air suspension system, cutting down exterior vibrations for increased stability. A pitch control allows for beat matching with other turntables, and a MIDI input connection allows turntable control from a MIDI device.
